Considerations When Reinstalling Lasernet Core 10

Prev Next

Applies to: Lasernet Core 10

We recommend considering this section when reinstalling or upgrading by installing. It is relevant to installation and Lasernet Core Services in services.msc that have Log On As set to a user instead of the Local System.

The Lasernet Core Installer (AdvancedInstaller) will add the Lasernet Config 10 service during the installation process. When upgrading to a newer version of Lasernet, the AdvancedInstaller will remove the Lasernet Config 10 service before adding the service again. This means there is no support for the caching of credentials when you change the Log On As setting to a user.

After installing the newer version of Lasernet, the value for the Log On As setting will default to Local System. Therefore, you must change Log On As to the required user, if you choose to have a user run the service instead of the Local System.

Note

This does not apply to Lasernet 10 Instance services because they are added by an external application, not the AdvancedInstaller.
