Error Message: 'Duplicate Name Found in Report Textbox_x, Textbox_x Property'

This article provides a solution for the following error message that may appear in AX 2012:

Error

Duplicate name found in report Textbox_x, Textbox_x property <DataElementName=xxxx>.

Resolution

If you are using the Lasernet SSRS of this report when you receive this error, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Lasernet > Reports, select your report, and open Elements.

2. Select Fix report and follow the wizard.

If you receive this error when attempting to import a Lasernet SSRS report and its replacement query, follow these steps:

1. Create the SSRS report in Lasernet > Reports and import only the replacement.

2. Replace the SSRS report with the Query.

Additional information
