The following settings are needed on the report to create and use a Test checkpoint: - Set **Archive** to **Default** or **Manual** to archive a report. This setting is used to archive the report. - Set the **Save XML** toggle button to **Yes**. The XML file is saved to compare the Test checkpoint with the test result. - Do not leave the **Table for archive** field blank. Otherwise, you will get the following error when creating a Test checkpoint for the report: > [!CAUTION] > Error > > Checkpoint archive does not have linked reference record. Make sure that report has 'Table for archive' set and that archive used for checkpoint has reference record to it. - Do not leave the **Resend menu item** blank. Otherwise, you will get the following error message when running a test and using **Force rerun**: > [!CAUTION] > Error > > No object specified on menu item If you are using a custom Lasernet query (not a replacement Lasernet query), set this to **LACRunController**. #### Example Setup for the SalesConfirmReplacement Replacement Report - **Archive** set to **Default**. - **Save XML** set to **Yes**. - **Table for archive** set to **CustConfirmJour** in this example, but this may vary depending on the query you are using. - **Resend menu item** set to **SalesConfirmation** in this example, but this may vary depending on the SSRS report being replaced. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c831ef63-c6b3-48ee-b443-3e33644e4e2e/Images/Documentation/image-KC3G5PGT.png) #### Example Setup for a Custom Lasernet Query that Uses the CustTable in the Query - **Archive** set to **Default**. - **Save XML** set to **Yes**. - **Table for archive** set to **CustTable** in this example, but this may vary depending on the custom query you are using. - **Resend menu item** set to **LACRunController**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c831ef63-c6b3-48ee-b443-3e33644e4e2e/Images/Documentation/image (3)(12).png) ## Create a Test Checkpoint A **T**est checkpoint can be created once a report has been run and an archive record has been created. A Test checkpoint can be created from: - The **Lasernet report** form - The Lasernet Archive ### Create a Test Checkpoint from the Lasernet Report Follow these steps: 1. Navigate to **Lasernet** > **Common** > **Reports**. 2. In this example, the **PurchPurchaseOrderReplacement** was last archived: - On **15/07/2024** at **11:25:46** - Run by **Admin** - Printed to **Screen** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c831ef63-c6b3-48ee-b443-3e33644e4e2e/Images/Documentation/image (5)(13).png) This data can be used to check that you are creating a Test checkpoint for the correct archived report run. The **Checkpoint** and **Description** fields are predefined for you. However, these can be changed if needed. 1. Click **Create** to create a **Test checkpoint** for this report run. The **Test checkpoint** form will automatically open once the Test checkpoint is created.
