Where Do I Find the Lasernet Logs?

Prev Next

By default, 5 x 10 MB of logs are retained. The service instance <InstanceName> is the Lasernet instance name. From Lasernet Core 11, these are referred to as environments.

The default locations for Lasernet instance log files are:

  • Lasernet 6.7: %ProgramData%\Formpipe Software\LaserNet v6.7\<InstanceName>\LaserNet.lnlog

  • Lasernet 7: %ProgramData%\Formpipe Software\LaserNet 7\<InstanceName>\LaserNet.lnlog

  • Lasernet 8: %ProgramData%\Formpipe Software\LaserNet 8\<InstanceName>\LaserNet.lnlog

  • Lasernet 9: %ProgramData%\Formpipe Software\LaserNet 9\Service\<InstanceName>\LaserNet.lnlog

  • Lasernet Core 10: %ProgramData%\Formpipe Software\Lasernet 10\Service\<InstanceName>\Lasernet.lnlog

  • Lasernet Core 11.0: %ProgramData%\Formpipe Software\Lasernet 11\Service\<Lasernet Core environment name>\Lasernet.<host name>.lnlog. Appropriately substitute <Lasernet Core environment name> and <host name>.

  • Lasernet Core 11.1 and later: %ProgramData%\Lasernet\Lasernet 11\Service\<Lasernet Core environment name>\Lasernet.<host name>.lnlog. Appropriately substitute <Lasernet Core environment name> and <host name>.

To change the log file location, follow the steps for your version of Lasernet.

Lasernet Core 11

See Lasernet Core Environment Logging.

All Other Lasernet Versions

  1. Open the build within Lasernet and select the Servers tab on the Tools menu.

  1. Double-click the instance you are working on, and the server’s properties window will open on your screen.

  2. Select the Logger tab in the ribbon.

  1. In the Log directory field, click the ellipses button to choose a custom destination folder.

For older versions of Lasernet, double-click the Properties for the Instance Name on the left and then navigate to the Logger tab. The Log Directory should be where your logs are stored (if different from above).

Note

The installation paths might be different for users running the EFS versions.
