Lasernet can both receive and generate data containing Hebrew text.
If you are using Overlays, follow the best practices detailed below to ensure the text is interpreted and displayed correctly.
Warning
We recommend using Subforms instead of Overlays.
Microsoft Publisher must be used to design Overlays, but Microsoft will retire it in October 2026. Until then, Publisher can still be used, but it is not recommended.
We will advise Lasernet users of an alternative tool once we have validated other options.
General Settings
On both the server running Lasernet and the server where you are developing your overlays, use the following settings:
Set the System Location to Israel.
Set the System Locale to Hebrew (Israel).
Add the Language Hebrew to Windows.
Move Hebrew to the top of the languages list, thus making it the default language.
Add the Hebrew language pack for the Windows display language.
Input Data
Hebrew is supported only with XML-formatted input data, not plain text.
