I Have Changed the Server Name and Now I Cannot Start Lasernet

Prev Next

Applies to: Lasernet Core 10

Lasernet licenses are linked to the name of the server on which they are running. By renaming the server, you will have stopped Lasernet from recognizing that you are on the same server to which the licence is linked. To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Change the server name back to its previous name.

  2. Open Lasernet Licence Manager and deactivate all licences.

  3. Change the server name to the new name.

  4. Open Lasernet Licence Manager and reactivate the licences.

If you are unable to change the server name, you will need to ask Lasernet Support to reset the license activation on our licensing server. This will require you to manually relicense all licensed Lasernet Services and Developers.

How to Get Support

If you need to reactivate your licence or need any additional support, contact Lasernet Support or get in touch with the Lasernet licence team.
