Lasernet Core 11.2 Beta 1 Release Notes

Prev Next

Release version: 11.2 Beta 1

Release date: 3rd August 2026

Notes

The following documentation and files are available:

Compatibility Warning

The Lasernet Connectors for Microsoft Dynamics 365 are currently not compatible with Lasernet Core 11.2 and earlier releases of Lasernet Core 11. We are working towards launching these two products together, but until then, current customers and partners with the Dynamics 365 connectors should continue to use Lasernet Core 10.

Note

Lasernet Core 11 delivers significant advancements in several key areas.

Because of the underlying architectural changes in Lasernet Core 11, if you are considering upgrading from Lasernet Core 10, we recommend that you:

This note does not apply to the Lasernet Connectors for Microsoft Dynamics 365, which must continue to use Lasernet Core 10.

Note

This is a beta release. The content of these release notes is subject to change until the final release of this software.

This beta release should not be used in production environments.

As this is a beta release, minor issues might exist in the software. Although beta releases are not officially supported, you can submit error reports to Lasernet Support.

Delegated User Authentication Removed From Some Modules

From Lasernet Core 11.2, the following modules no longer support delegated user authentication (also known as user authentication):

  • Outlook Mail Input

  • Outlook Mail Output

  • SharePoint Output

  • OneDrive Input

  • OneDrive Output

For more information, see the accompanying detailed information about the new features, fixes, and enhancements in this release.

Important Upgrade Information

If your Lasernet Core 10, Lasernet Core 11.0, or Lasernet Core 11.1 configuration includes one or more of these modules using user authentication, you must update them to use application authentication instead.

The OneDrive and Outlook modules require additional configuration because they must identify the user whose OneDrive or mailbox they connect to. In earlier versions of Lasernet Core, they connected to the OneDrive or mailbox of the user that the module authenticated as. In Lasernet Core 11.2 and later, the module authenticates as an application; as a result, you must use the module’s User Principal Name property (OneDrive modules) or Mailbox property (Outlook modules) to identify the user.

Maintenance Report

This section briefly describes the new features, enhancements, and fixes in Lasernet Core 11.2 Beta 1.

For more information, see the accompanying detailed information about the new features, fixes, and enhancements in this release.

Master Sheet Support for PDF/UA

The master sheet feature now supports PDF/UA sheets.

Lasernet Core can now recognize URLs in the input data of form objects and then convert the URLs into hyperlinks in output documents. If a sheet's output type is PDF/UA, the hyperlinks become <Link> elements in the PDF/UA document’s structure tree. To enable this feature, select Scan input text for links in the Edit window for a text object, rearrange, or image.

External User Authentication Support Added to Manage

Manage now enables you to create and configure external roles. These are a crucial part of the integration between Lasernet Core and Microsoft Entra ID, because they link Entra ID app roles to the Lasernet Core permissions system. The Configure Additional User Permissions in Microsoft Entra ID and Lasernet Core page of the Configure Microsoft Entra ID Authentication for Lasernet Core 11 guide provides instructions.

Manage now also supports the provider URL parameter, which directs Manage to use a specific authentication provider (when more than one is configured). The Configure and Use Alternative Authentication Providers page provides the URL syntax.
